The hike starts at the Würzburger Haus, which has been welcoming and serving guests since 1938. In addition to regional cuisine, you can also stay overnight in the Würzburger Haus.
The Berghaus Rhön is even older, having been built in 1932. In the early years of the building, it served as a canteen and accommodation for miners. When mining gradually became less attractive and ultimately had to be abandoned, the district of Bad Kissingen took over the building. Since 1972, the Berghaus Rhön has become a hiking destination in the Rhön. Today, Bavarian cuisine and accommodation is offered there.

The tourist paths of the Rhön are mostly used by other active people (hikers, mountain bikers, cyclists, walkers, horse riders, cross-country skiers, etc.).We ask all active nature sports enthusiasts to show consideration for one another. Of course, the same applies to nature - it is worth protecting. In the Rhön, nature sports should therefore only be practiced in daylight on designated paths and areas.

The tour is not accessible by public transport.Getting there
Würzburger HausThe Würzburger Haus can be reached via the A7. Leave the autobahn at exit 95 Bad Brückenau / Wildflecken and drive onto the B286 in the direction of Bad Kissingen / Schildeck / Märzgrund. Follow the road for 1.5 kilometers. In Schildeck you turn left onto Rhönstraße and shortly afterwards you have to keep right. After about 2 kilometers, turn right at the fork in the road. The Würzuburg house is about 3.5 kilometers away.
Berghaus Rhön
The Berghaus Rhön can be reached via the A7. Leave the autobahn at exit 95 Bad Brückenau / Wildflecken and drive onto the B286 in the direction of Bad Kissingen / Schildeck / Märzgrund. Follow the road for 1.5 kilometers. In Schildeck you turn left onto Rhönstraße and shortly afterwards you have to keep right. After about 2 kilometers go straight ahead at the fork in the road. After approx. 1.6 kilometers you will reach the Berghaus Rhön.
