Bad Bocklet is the starting point of this MTB round trip. From the small spa town you drive in the direction of Aschach. The small town is widely known for the museums in Aschach Castle, which the route leads directly past. The School, Folklore and Graf-Luxburg Museum look forward to every visitor.

Following the course of the Franconian Saale for a short time, the path soon leads through a long stretch of forest towards the Klaushof wildlife park. Native and other animal species can be viewed there during a break on the tour.

In a northerly direction you continue through a wooded area and after Stralsbach you reach Frauenroth with a monastery church from the 13th century. The path leads along pastures and forests through the beautiful Rhön nature back to the starting point in Bad Bocklet. The spa facilities and the spa gardens of Bad Bocklet are a great place to find some relaxation and tranquility before a varied day out comes to an end.

Author’s recommendation

Plan enough time to visit the Klaushof wildlife park or the Aschach Castle museums.

Safety information

The touristic paths of the Rhön are mostly used by other active people (hikers, mountain bikers, cyclists, walkers, riders, cross-country skiers, etc.)

We ask all active nature sports enthusiasts to show consideration for one another. The same applies of course to nature - it is worth protecting. In the Rhön, therefore, nature sports should only be practiced in daylight on designated paths and areas.

  • In the Rhön, the paths are shared. If there is mutual consideration, nobody has to be angry.
  • Trails and paths are best for driving. Across the meadow - don't do it!
  • Take the memory with you and your trash!
  • Never drive faster than you can stop.
  • At night (and in winter) the forest belongs to the animals.

We recommend that you only ride the mountainbike trails in the summer season (May-October).
