Mountainbike Rundweg 1 Dreistelz - Bad Brückenau - Rhön
The round tour continues back into the valley and then in constant ups and downs to the Metermich (585m), the tour's namesake. On the further course of the circular route you will now reach the Schwarze Berge (black mountains). The local mountain huts Kissinger Hütte, Würzburger Haus and Berghaus Rhön are not only popular excursion destinations for hikers. They are ideal for a relaxing break.
After the refreshment stop, the path now leads over the Totanberg and the Farnsberg back into the Sinntal valley to Wildflecken. The last kilometers back to the starting point now lead on pleasant stretches along the course of the river, to give the leg muscles the relaxation they deserve.
Author’s recommendation
The Tintenfass is not far from the Berghaus Rhön. The basalt lake was created in a former basalt mining area and is now a popular, yet quiet excursion destination in the Rhön.

Safety information
It is a long and very demanding route. The tour should definitely be started in Bad Brückenau or in Oberbach, so that at the end you can roll out easily on the bike path.Conditioned and partly technically difficult ascent to Dreistelz.
The touristic paths of the Rhön are mostly used by other active people (hikers, mountain bikers, cyclists, walkers, riders, cross-country skiers, etc.)
We ask all active nature sports enthusiasts to show consideration for one another. The same applies of course to nature - it is worth protecting. In the Rhön, therefore, nature sports should only be practiced in daylight on designated paths and areas.
- In the Rhön, the paths are shared. If there is mutual consideration, nobody has to be angry.
- Trails and paths are best for driving. Across the meadow - don't do it!
- Take the memory with you and your trash!
- Never drive faster than you can stop.
- At night (and in winter) the forest belongs to the animals.
We recommend that you only ride the mountainbike trails in the summer season (May-October).
