The trail, which is a good 800 meters long, was created in 2017. Rhöntrial, the city of Bischofsheim, the forest leaseholder and the lower nature conservation authority worked together to achieve this.

Today you can expect a natural single trail without built obstacles, which runs parallel to the Rhönklub hiking trail Neustädter Haus (NH). You can return to the start via the hiking trail. Of course, we take each other into consideration and ride with appropriate speed.

Even if the Irenkreuztrail is an independent trail, it can be easily combined with the Flowtrail Kreuzberg. However, in order to do that you have to cross a busy road.

Author’s recommendation

There are places to stop for refreshments on the Kreuzberg (monastery and all kinds of huts) and in Bischofsheim; the latter also has a bike park.
