Rundwanderung zum Bismarckturm Bad Kissingen - Rhön
It is worth taking a detour to the Botenlauben castle ruins, which are believed to have been built around 1180. The ruin towering high above the city is Bad Kissingen's oldest landmark. There is a beautiful path around the complex, which gives an overview of how mighty the castle must have once been.
Through the peaceful deciduous and coniferous forests, we continue towards the Bismarck Tower. On the way, it is worth looking out for the Nüdlingen Peace Chapel, which is hidden at the edge of the forest.
On the Sinnberg you can then reach the imposing Bismarck Tower. From here you have a fantastic view over Bad Kissingen. Above the tower you can also discover a natural garden from the Bund Naturschutz.
From the Sinnberg you can return to the city center to the starting point.

Safety information
The tourist routes of the Rhön are mostly used by other active people (hikers, mountain bikers, cyclists, walkers, riders, cross-country skiers, etc.)We ask all active nature sports enthusiasts to show consideration for one another. The same applies, of course, to nature - it is worth protecting. In the Rhön, therefore, nature sports should only be practiced in daylight on designated paths and areas.
