On the 8-shaped circular path we reach the Battenstein. On the way to the chapel there we walk on the Crucifixion path.

Via the "Erlenweg" to the end of the town of Battenstein - cross the street - over the footbridge and clearing through woods to the Stations of the Cross (on the right side of the road to the chapel) - left over the former "Viehtrift" past the youth hostel - cross the state road - continue through "Viehtrift" to to the road" - left via meadow paths back to Batten - straight ahead at the crossroads - past the cemetery to the starting point.

By road

Hilders can be reached by car via the A7. Leave the autobahn at exit 92 Fulda-Mitte. Then drive onto the B458 in the direction of Hilders. This route takes you directly to the Hilders district of Batten. At the T-junction there, turn right and immediately right again. There is a small parking lot there.
