The Extratour Bad Bockleter starts directly at the spa gardens of the enchanting spa town Bad Bocklet in the Rhön. From the parking lot there the hiking trail starts in the direction of the Franconian Saale. Through the valley, the route leads us along the river bank up to the "Hubbrunnen". Today this well may only be a hiking destination, but until 1936 it ensured the drinking water supply for everyone who lived in Bad Bocklet and still has a nostalgic meaning for the residents up to today.

It then continues through the magnificent mixed forests between Hohn and Aschach. Birds chirping and the rustling in the leaves and needles of the wind are our way  companions here. Then we reach the Aschach nature trail. Here nature can be experienced in all its facets in a relaxed or playful manner.

The next intermediate destination on the Extratour is the town of Aschach. The village is particularly well-known for the museums housed in the castle there. The living quarters of the count family, a folklore museum and the school museum can be visited there. There is also a restaurant on site. Aschach Castle is certainly always worth a visit.

From Aschach to the end of the hike, the Franconian Saale accompanies us again. Via meadow paths we return to our starting point, the spa gardens in Bad Bocklet.

Safety information

The tourist paths of the Rhön are mostly used by other active people (hikers, mountain bikers, cyclists, walkers, horse riders, cross-country skiers, etc.).

We ask all active nature sports enthusiasts to show consideration for one another. Of course, the same applies to nature - it is worth protecting. In the Rhön, nature sports should therefore only be practiced in daylight on designated paths and areas.

Schade
