The hike offers something for nature lovers and those interested in history. The patrol path on the former death strip is part of the Green Belt, which runs across Germany and offers rare fauna and flora protection. The patrol route was once created as a control route for the inhumane zone border. You can get comprehensive information on this at the Point Alpha memorial. You can see how a village protected itself from enemies in the Middle Ages when you visit the Rasdorf military cemetery.

Author’s recommendation

At the end of the tour you can take a leisurely break in Rasdorf on the B 84 at the Via Regia meeting point.
