Safety informationMost of the Rhön ski and cross-country trails are intended for use by skiers/cross-country skiers. If a walker "gets lost" on the route, we ask that you pass on the information that routes (partly) are reserved for winter sports enthusiasts, out of mutual consideration.
By roadThe tour can be approached via the A71. To do this, leave the autobahn at exit 21 Meiningen-Nord. Then take the B19 via Meiningen to Walldorf. After passing through Walldorf, you drive via Herpf and Stepfershausen to Kaltensundheim. Shortly before Kaltensundheim you have to turn left to drive into town. Here you turn right to get to Oberweid. Shortly before Oberweid, the Arche Rhön car park is on the left-hand side of the road.
