Public transport

The Weidberg is served by the following line from the district of Schmalkalden-Meiningen with prior booking:
  • Line 411: Meiningen - Kaltensundheim - Oberweid (RUFBUS)

Getting there

The tour can be approached via the A71. To do this, leave the autobahn at exit 21 Meiningen-Nord. Then take the B19 via Meiningen to Walldorf. After passing through Walldorf, you drive via Herpf and Stepfershausen to Kaltensundheim. Shortly before Kaltensundheim you have to turn left to drive into town. Here you turn right to get to Oberweid. Shortly before Oberweid, the Arche Rhön car park is on the left-hand side of the road.
