The route includes a road crossing. Due to the tree-free areas, snowdrifts may occur. For safety reasons, please pay attention to the direction of travel on the on-site signs.
The tourist paths of the Rhön are mostly also used by other active people (hikers, mountain bikers, cyclists, walkers, horse riders, cross-country skiers, etc.).
We ask all active nature sports enthusiasts to be considerate of each other. Of course, the same applies to nature - it is worth protecting. In the Rhön, nature sports should therefore only be practiced in daylight on designated paths and areas.
Tips and hints
- The amount of snow can be estimated with the help of the webcam on the Black Moor.
- The snow hotline provides information about the winter conditions in the Rhön.
- Good to know: The nature trail through the Black Moor and the lookout tower are closed in the winter months.
