Loipe Basalt - Wildflecken - Rhön
The circular tour continues up the Feuerberg (832m) to the Kissinger Hütte. This provides a great spot for a stop en route. Great panoramic views of the snow-covered Schwarzen Berge (Black Mountains) also open up on the tree-free areas around the hiking hut.
From there, the tour continues in a long arc on the slopes of the Feuerberg. In a short distance you pass the mountain rock (756m), the crater of a dormant volcano. Then there is only a short distance to go before you return to the starting point at the Eiserner Kreuz hiking car park.
